Diagnostic Use and Interpretation

1. As part of a Creatinine Clearance test.


2. To assess the completeness of a timed urine collection. For this purpose, the following approximate creatinine excretion rates, related to body weight, may be used:

adult male:

0.20 mmol/kg body weight/24h

adult female:

0.15 mmol/kg body weight/24h

child:

0.10 mmol/kg body weight/24h
