Diagnostic Use and Interpretation

Clobazam is a benzodiazepine and is used for treating acute or chronic anxiety.

It may be used as adjunctive therapy in epilepsy, and may alter the serum concentrations of the anticonvulsants it is being used with.

It may also be used together with antidepressants for the treatment of anxiety associated with depression.

Monitoring levels may help with establishing the correct dosage regime.

Isolated cases of blood dyscrasias and abnormal liver function tests have been reported, and monitoring these tests should be considered.
