Japanese Encephalitis serology

Test performed by: LabPLUS Support Services transport this to a 3rd party for testing


The receiving laboratory has stated that the following details must be supplied before any specimen can be sent for this test:

  1. Full requesting Clinician's contact details
  2. Travel history - including dates of travel and countries visited
  3. Clinical history including onset date
  4. Vaccination history - include date of vaccination and whether the patient had a full course of vaccine
  5. Identification of whether you are determining evidence of recent infection or immune status. (Immune status testing involves neutralisation testing and this needs to be discussed with Dr L Hueston before being approved).
